The Summary of The Grammar – Translation Method.

This method was used for the purpose of helping students read and appreciate foreign language literature. It was also hoped that, through the study of the grammar of the target language, student would become more familiar with the grammar of their native language and that this familiarity would help them speak and write their native language better.

The rule of The Grammar – Translation :

1. List the difficult word.
2. The teacher reminds them.
3. The teacher must be active than the student.
4. The student is passive.
5. The teacher must use the native language.
6. The teacher teach about the grammar rules and vocabulary of the target language.
7. If the student is very active, the teacher must use this method.
8. The teacher can’t make a test what he/she never explain.
